Uriah Heep decided to look back to their past without melancholy or nostalgia. Uriah Heep look at the future proud and happy about their 40 years of joyful relationship with their audience. The journey starts with a great version of Wake The Sleep’, followed by ‘Stealin’’ and ‘Easy Livin’’. Songs like ‘Gypsy’, ‘The Wizard’, ‘July Morning’ and their all-time smash-hit ‘Lady In Black’ showing once again that those guys don’t need any special effects and background singers.
Originally founded by guitarist Mick Box and the sadly missed vocalist David Byron, Uriah Heep have often been referred to as “one of the greatest bands from the ‘70s,” the band staying mainly focussed on the flowery and melodic aspect of the genre. Many of Uriah Heep’s songs sparkle due to sophisticated songwriting, fascinating harmony backing vocals and unexcelled catchy melodies. During the years the band ran through an amazing number of reformations, with Mick Box always at the helm, supported by the great talent of ex Bowie/Ziggy band Trevor Bolder on bass who shared most of the Uriah Heep history with him.
